Jim Eaton creates unique, fanciful sculpture and weathervanes from brightly painted aluminum sand castings, which are suitable foreither exterior or interior use. His creations are somewhat enigmatic in that they are atonce humorous and friendly, yet elegant and refined. They are reminiscentof folk art, yet very contemporary.  Mr. Eaton’s works can be found in many public and private collections andhave been selected for inclusion in a wide variety of exhibitions andgallery shows throughout the United States. His pieces incorporateexpertise gained from a comprehensive commercial and sculptural backgroundespecially in the use of color, materials and processes. He holds a degreein Industrial Design from the college of Fine and Applied Arts at theUniversity of Illinois and has over 25 years of professional experience.  His objective is to create unique objects that are enjoyable to be withfor a long time.  Jim Eaton’s studio is in the Chicago area, approximately 35 milesnorthwest of the city.
