NAIA FORUM RULES
Welcome to the National Association of Independent Artists Forum
This forum is for and about artist/craftspeople that make their living primarily by exhibiting their work at art & craft shows.
Please note that this forum is governed by a few basic rules. These rules are predicated on the notion that the growth and free flowing exchange of ideas will flourish in an environment in which some sense of order guides the process.
This is a retro moderated forum, which means that posts will not flow through a moderator for review first. The role of the moderator is to facilitate the free exchange of communication, not to act as a censor. The expectation is that common sense, fair play, and civility will prevail on this forum. Falling short of this expectation, the moderator reserves the option to sanction any member including spammers, trolls, ranters, and those attempting to bait others into a flame war. Sanctions might include anything from a temporary to permanent suspension of privileges to participate on the forum (see below for details).
You also agree to indemnify and hold harmless the National Association of Independent Artists (NAIA) or anyone associated with the NAIA for the content of any messages which are posted on this forum.
All who use this forum will be guided by the following rules:
Differing points of view, constructive criticism, and reasoned argument are welcomed and acknowledged as important ingredients in human communication, that being said, a modicum of respect must be shown for all members at all times.
Attacks that are personal in nature or attacks directed against the NAIA as well as provocative posts that lack a topic or are interjected in order to render a topic useless will not be condoned.
Language, which is patently abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, racist, and/or conveys sexually debasing messages, may lead to a person being suspended or permanently banned from participating on this forum.
