ARTIST INFORMATION CONTACT INFORMATION

William Munoz has been a fulltime photographer since 1978. William attends between 20 and 25 art fairs a year across the United States. In addition to print sales, he works as a photo-illustrator of children's books. He has over 85 titles to his credit.

Photography has been a vehicle for me to explore the "hidden" subtleties of nature. I view my work as a photographer in two general areas: one is editorial the other aesthetic. In both I hope I am artistic. I photographically illustrate children's books. These images allow the author to eliminate words. However, while pursuing this goal I am always aware of the need to spark a child's imagination. It is the 'wonder' of the world of nature that I feel and attempt to capture on film to share.

Our imagination is a precious gift that allows us to soar. Through it we can conceive of things. It is our imagination that gives meaning to the beauty of a flower, the awe of the mountain, allow sour hearts to fly at the sight of an eagle soaring. Our imagination allows us to find meaning in the world. It is unconditional and limitless. Life takes on meaning when we use our imagination, it is a gateway to the soul.
