ARTIST INFORMATION CONTACT INFORMATION

Far the past ten years I've been painting landscapes full-time. Working from a collage of my own wilderness photographs, landforms are broken down one section at a time, into abstract strokes of vibrant acrylic colors on canvas with a #2 paintbrush as my only tool. A pointillist technique I developed myself. In the finished work, the viewers eye mixes the color to form recognizable scenes reminiscent of impressionism. This balance between representation and abstraction is the paintings strength.

My interest in art began early. At age seven I had a drawing published in the Denver Post. This interest continued throughout my school years. After serving in the U.S. Army, I studied sculpture and painting in college receiving a B.F.A. degree. I continued what I did in college by making constructivist paintings. These were exhibited in many shows. I also screenprinted, art directed, signpainted, illustrated a few books, took two solo bicycle trips across the United States and Canada, and built a three story cabin by hand.

These multi-award winning paintings capture the look and feel of the earth's form and nature. My paintings appear in private and corporate collections in the United States, Canada, and Europe.
