NAIA Artist Conference

The NAIA is pleased to announce two speakers at the first NAIA Artist Conference that will be held in Atlanta on January 17th and 18th, 2003.

  • James Dillehay is the author of seven books and is nationally recognized as an expert on marketing arts and crafts. He serves as a member of the advisory board to the National Craft Association and has been listed in the Who's Who of American Entrepreneurs. James will be tailoring a presentation for the NAIA membership that will focus on techniques and methods of marketing their work, overlooked markets, and building a rapport with customers.

  • Milon Townsend is the author of "Making & Marketing Better Artwork" and is a nationally recognized artist and speaker. His artwork is collected throughout the country and he is a presenter for the Arts Business Institute. Milon will be talking about six essential elements that artists can use to offer a glimpse of the origin of their artistic vocabulary, voice and vision. He will also present a thorough examination on how to establish and continue positive long term relationships with galleries. An extremely informative workbook will also be available to accompany the presentation.
